Deep Stream to take up the running at a moderate tempo. PODARGONI (6) was sharply better beaten a half length at Ballarat second-up. The longer sprint will suit, and with average luck, he can go one better. THINXZO (9) went close at Bendigo and then raced favourite at Ballarat over this distance and was a touch plainer. Has a wide gate to contend with, but rates a winning chance. Ditto FAUCI (17), who resumed with a promising effort at Pakenham. Fitter and has upside. RHOOKY (8) debuts and has looked sharp at the jumpouts. Has the blinkers on, and Linda can position him forward. The betting will be key. HIGHLAND SAPPHIRE (11) peaks and finally draws a low barrier. Needs to find a bit more, but Yendall's booking interests. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Podargoni.
