Expecting Deserve to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. SAKURA TOP MAMBO (6) closed last prep four months ago when he finished seventh over 1400m at this track. Well placed and should be tough to beat. JARDI BLACK (4) last appeared three-and-a-half weeks ago over 800m at Urawa when she finished seventh. This is her first run for the Yukichi Sugawara stable. Leading hope who should be tough to stop. Solid top-three chance for the new barn. DESERVE (8) broke through for his maiden win over 1300m at this track last time, scoring comfortably. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Looks well placed and he is right in the mix again. ORIENTAL MAC (3) is a 13-start maiden who is knocking on the door, the latest effort a solid third at this track over 1400m after being in the firing line on the turn. Finds a suitable race and can find the winner's circle.
