LEADERBOARD (1) came back to chasing on the Ballarat synthetic and led all the way, winning by a space. Just as good on the turf, and on the quick back-up, he can go on with the job. SCHABAU (5) led the pack behind the above at Ballarat, beaten 5L. Covered the others and will present fitter. He should get closer. HISTORIC (4) resumed in the same contest and didn't get warm. Likely resented the synthetic surface, and he can go a lot better today. BLOOD AND SAND (3) resumed over hurdles and needed the outing. He's no world beater, but shouldn't be far away. FLYING PIERRO (6) needs to show heaps more to threaten. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Leaderboard.
