THRIVING YOUTH 1400M HANDICAP 1400m Track: GOOD
Plenty of runners but a dawdling affair is on the cards. WITH A SMILE (8) missed out by 1.5L over 1200m last time out when favourite, but the rise in trip looks to suit. Zac Purton remains in the saddle and while the draw is sticky, he does possess some early speed. Can shed the maiden tag. LESLIE (7) ended up a long way back last start but finished 1.8L off the winner when closing off strongly. He may be able to sit a touch closer off the inside barrier and if he can get the breaks, he'll be right in the finish once again. ZETTA FORCE (11) was beaten 1.3L over this track and trip most recently and he looks to be trending the right way. He needs a touch of luck from the wide draw, but he has the figures to be there in the finish. MAX QUE (10) is better than he showed last time out and is a winning hope if he can run up to his figures from two back.
