Has a strong fresh record including a win and one minor placings. Should camp just off the leaders. Likely to feature. VELOCE ERA (3) was popular when resuming last start over 3000m in the G2 Hanshin Daishoten at this track but finished fifth, beaten 8 lengths. Has been in the money at each second up start. Expected to run well. FLY LIKE BIRD (7) has not appeared since he finished 12th over 2000m in the G3 Chunichi Shimbun Hai at Chukyo on December 7. One to consider. DANDYISM (10) drifted back when resuming last start over 3400m in the G3 Diamond Stakes at Tokyo and failed to threaten, beaten 23 lengths into 14th. Takes on much easier opposition this time. Well placed and not to be discounted.
