Darn Hot Lady should lead at a slick tempo. DARN HOT LADY (6) raced only once in first campaign, finishing a nose from the winner over 1000m at Gold Coast then put away again. Should be further improved on a trial win at Gold Coast and can get off the mark here fresh. TURBO TORQUE (3) raced once in the maiden preparation when sixth at Doomben over 1050m back on October 26. Likely improver and can get off the mark this time. BELLOVE (4) returns from a short break. Ran into a smart one on debut, so worth forgiving large margin defeat. Likely improver that deserves respect. PHIL UP (1) stepped out on his debut over 1000m at this track two weeks ago and finished fifth, beaten 7 lengths. Expected to be right there at the business end. SUGGESTED PLAY: Darn Hot Lady to win.
