HELL OF A FOX (8) had been cruelled by wide gate before drawing handier, missing 1L over a 1600m this track/grade bet into $2.9 favouritism Has a sharp form here over 1400m and she can go one better. DEEPWATER ARTIST (11) just missed the hat-trick in a 75 here over 1600m. Has been freshened 40 days and has won 2/3 this distance. Has an awkward barrier but has weight relief and rates to make the finish. ONEFORIAN (10) has been around the mark his last two off back-to-back wins. Maps for the run of the race and Collett is a key jockey booking. Sits down in the weights and will get every chance. The race day betting will be key with HOT BANDIT (1), who resumed off the Big Dance at Randwick at Stakes level. Missed a whisker here this grade prior over a mile and has won this course at the distance. BURGUNDY GIRL (4) can't entirely be ruled out dropping back to a sprint off the Canberra Cup, freshened 40 days. SUGGESTED PLAY: Hell Of A Fox appeals most.
