Strong early tempo with California Flyer and Vortistar leading the way. WALTZING MATILDA (6) is a former Victorian who made her Tassie debut with a strong maiden win. Extra trip looks like a plus and can measure up again. VORTISTAR (2) was freshened before dropping back to 1200m latest and finding the line strongly for a close second. Fitter for it and the extra ground suits. Expected to run well again. RIPPINGTON (1) is a speedy type drawn ideally and looks a huge chance on best form. TIZSA NICE DROP (8) was in the money two starts back at Devonport Synthetic but couldn't back it up last time when ninth at Hobart over 1600m. Better than that and gets a chance to atone. CALIFORNIA FLYER (3) is another speedy type drawn low and will give a great sight again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Follow up on Waltzing Matilda.
