Delago Serg is likely to take charge and set a decent tempo. UNAVOIDABLE (3) worked to the line steadily over 1600m at Hawkesbury first-up off a 698-day break. Won a Maiden in Ireland over 2011m on debut prior and will have taken plenty from the outing. The Matt Smith yard is going well and this fellow rates hard to beat. CANJUSTIFY (7) has been within range at Hawkesbury and Newcastle her last two and will also appreciate country grade. The step up to the middle-distance will be right up her alley as well. KNIGHT OF RHODES (4) is third up for Smith and is in need of this distance. No surprise to see quick improvement. DELAGO SERG (1) was last seen 6 days ago over 1600m at Goulburn. Races forward and has a handy 2kg claim. Needs to lift but will give a sight and may be the best of the rest. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Unavoidable.
