Solid tempo with Iftihar leading from Nikephoros and Playful As. IFTIHAR (10) has finished third in all three starts to date, close up two back, setting up a good speed latest with the winner dominant from the back. Back slightly in trip suits and this looks a winnable race if she gets the first half of the race right. BELLA VERONA (8) is a filly by Castelvecchio on debut for the Matt Laurie yard. She looked good charging to the line to win a recent jumpout at Mornington and should prove very hard to hold out late. PLAYFUL AS (11) made good improvement at her second start at Kilmore when getting into the placings. She can figure with further natural upside. FOXSKY (3) is another that made quick strides at start two to place at Sale. He too can figure from a good draw. ADIRA RIVER (7) resumes with some claims although might want further than 1300m. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Iftihar.
