THE STARS ALIGN (1) is a distance specialist who switched yards and improved sharply on a tough run here with a 4.5 length win over 1600m at Nowra 12-days ago on a heavy track. Has to lug more weight back to 55 level but fitter again he's going to be awfully hard to beat. GUNFIGHTER ROAD (6) led and won a 1400m Maiden comfortably first-up and then found a place stepping up to this distance in stronger at Moruya. Will be fitter again and has winning claims. MEAN AS (5) led and was an easy Maiden winner at Mudgee for the Maher yard. Has excuses prior and will give a big sight riding the speed. WISH YOU WERE HERE (4) is hard to catch but her near miss at Cowra two back over this distance reads well and she's worth including. SUGGESTED PLAY: Hard to go past The Stars Align.
