Just a moderate pace anticipated. LYDIARD PARK (7) has been a beaten favourite in all of his 3 starts off the back of some impressive trials, and his best effort so far has been a third at Waverley a month ago, where he showed a lot more fight. He has needed time to mature, and the step up to 1600m won't bother him. On top, one more time for us. ATAVUS (2) resumed from a spell and finished a game third over this trip as the favourite at Trentham nearly 7 weeks ago. He has had all his racing well-spaced, and he should pick up a win as soon as he puts it all together. REZINATE (8) is a promising stablemate of the top pick with a couple of sound fourth-place finishes from just 3 starts. He is bred to improve with time, and he has top 3 claims here. LES BOOTS (3) will be resuming from a long spell, and he should be running on. Include him in all combos, and watch for him late. SCOTTY (1) found the line nicely on a track that was firmer than he preferred here last start, and he has winning claims on a wet track. Each-way. SUGGESTED PLAY: Lydiard Park to win.
