Entirely Oak and Prairie Legend possess good early speed. STEP QUICK (6) returns from a six-month spell. Raced just twice last prep, the best effort being the latest when close up at Albury over 900m. No world beater but in this ordinary field he gets his chance to finally break through. JUST JOAN (9) recorded her seventh minor placing in 20 starts when she led but just failed to hang on over 1200m at Mudgee last start. Will enjoy coming back in trip and should be prominent for a long way. ENTIRELY OAK (1) is a speedy customer who has led for the judge at his last three runs but been overhauled on each occasion. Will run another cheeky race. The Matthew Dale-trained CAPE EX (7) should be well found in betting on debut. Looks to have ability based on a close third in a recent Kembla trial. The 36-start maiden NIGHTWALKER (4) has placed at five of six runs here at this trip. A must for trifecta and first four players. SUGGESTED PLAY: Step Quick on top but it is hard to be confident.
