Genuine pace with Into The Fire taking up the running ahead of Aqualina's Star and Shoreman. SHOWTIME MAGGIE (1) improved here in a CL2 and then impressed this grade/trip, belting home from back in the field to win. Carries more weight but track specialist Collett stays aboard and she will be tough to beat again. VINARI (8) was positioned even further back in the same contest and was wide after. She went close in a 58 over this distance at Orange prior and that reads well. Maps well today and is a live chance. DAME ANNIE (4) comes out of the same race and was never a factor. She'd hit the line hard over 1100m at Goulburn prior and that reads well. Finally has a low barrier and the in-form Morgan is engaged. A player. APPARATE (10) resumes and has won fresh. Has pieces of form that would see her in right the finish and she has to be kept onside. SHOREMAN (3) just missed here over 1000m in a CL1. Should run out the 1200m but carries a lot more weight and will need luck from the outside barrier. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sticking with Showtime Maggie.
