Strong tempo, primarily from Riko Luger and Star Grip. STAR GRIP (10) scored at his most recent appearance, getting home by a nose over 1600m at Kawasaki. That continued the very strong form this campaign, with four wins from five starts. Can measure up again. ECORO MARS (9) has switched yards since finishing 17th two months ago over 1200m at Kokura. One of the better hopes. RIKO LUGER (1) returned from a spell three weeks ago when he was prominent at the corner before being beaten 10 lengths into fifth over 1600m at this track. Fitter this time. Hard to beat in this suitable race. NOBLE GALE (8) was in the money two starts back at this track but was unable to repeat the effort last time when seventh, beaten 12 lengths, at this track over 1600m. Open to improvement and should be about the mark.
