Good speed to be established by Arde Tsuyoshi kicking up to hold out Hawk Light and Run Trail. TAMAMO TORINO (2) sat just off the speed and fought on well to finish second when resuming last start at this course and distance. Takuya Ono stays on. Will strip fitter and is open to plenty of improvement so he looks a big chance to go one better. RUN TRAIL (14) is back after a break of four-and-a-half months. Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 2100m at this track. Has ability and should be right in the finish. DAKARA FESTIVE (3) finds it hard to win with just one success from 11 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when fifth over 2100m at this track, beaten 3 lengths. Keita Tosaki goes aboard. Not out of contention. HAWK LIGHT (15) saluted over 1800m at Niigata Dirt at his most recent appearance on August 3. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race.
