Likely improver who should run well again. GAROFANO (1) impressed when successful as favourite on debut over 1800m at Niigata nine weeks ago and has not appeared since. Has plenty of upside and should go on with it. ELLIPTIC CURVE (5) was also a debut winner, scoring over 1800m at Sapporo. Has upside and is among the chances again. AKKAN (3) got off the mark over 2000m at Sapporo last start, scoring by one length. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Harder task ahead this time but fit and will take catching.
