Miss Harley Quinn is expected to lead at a slick tempo. ENDEAN AFFAIR (10) will be making her South Island debut and copes with any type of track conditions. She was in the money twice at the beginning of her last campaign in the North Island, and a repeat of those efforts will take her close to winning this fresh up. ROC 'N' READY (14) had no hope fresh up in the Listed Canterbury Belle Stakes over 1200m at Riccarton just over 7 weeks ago. He is part of the powerful Robert Dennis stable, and is not the least of the each-way chances in an even contest. MONAGHAN BOY (1) resumes from a spell with the benefit of a 3kg claim. A wide gate is not too much of a hindrance, and he can figure in the top 3. MORE SASS (8) did not fire last time out, but is better than that. She can settle handy to the pace from an inside gate, and is expected to bounce back into the money here. SUGGESTED PLAY: Monaghan Boy at some each-way value.
