Genuine pace with Maria Pilar taking up the running ahead of Fourofus and Nova Remnant. OCEAN BOULEVARD (10) has been heading the right way with her form this prep and was less than a length from the winner in third place at Wingatui last time out. The extra 200m will help, and she should go close to taking this out. FOUROFUS (2) was narrowly beaten in her penultimate start and then tried hard in a far tougher field at Riccarton just over 5 weeks ago. He should make the quinella with the top pick. MARIA PILAR (4) was good enough to finish second on debut and is resuming from a spell that would have done her the world of good. Outside of the top 2, this field is not strong, and she can figure in the top 3. RINGS OF SATIN (5) is not very reliable, but in this field, she can lob into the top 4. SUGGESTED PLAY: Ocean Boulevard and Fourofus should be the quinella.
