Vamos, Short and Vino Valentino to roll forward and set up a solid tempo. PRINCE ALBY (3) has been racing without much luck in stronger fields than this, and he gets a chance to get his season back on track with a win in this. He is nicely weighted and should not be risked. On top for us. VAMOS (1) is 1 of 3 big chances in the race for local trainer Kelvin Tyler, and his form has been very strong, including a huge Riccarton win 3 starts back. His last run was nearly 6 weeks ago, and if he doesn't need this, then he will continue to race well. ENDEAN ACE (9) was last seen finishing fourth in an amateur rider's race at Te Aroha 6 weeks ago. He is more than capable of figuring in the finish here at some value. VINO VALENTINO (4) is an honest mare who doesn't win often. She has been placed in both of her starts on this track, and is a must for all combinations. LIGHT OF PLUTUS (8) took a long time to win a race, and even though this company is a bit rich for him, he can still run into a top 4 spot at odds. SUGGESTED PLAY: Prince Alby can win this.
