Plenty of pace from Showgirl, Nightrain and Green Garnet vying for the lead, with a few others keeping them honest. GREEN GATEWAY (8) was an impressive debut winner then went for a break. Resumed in open class and finished fifth but fitter and this easier. Give another chance. NIGHTRAIN (11) placed at first two then finished first campaign with a maiden win. Sure to be further improved and expecting a positive return. STAR MAJOR (4) was a close-up fourth resuming and will strip fitter. Just missed when last second-up and looking for a big run. FREEDOM FIGHTER (12) was a big maiden winner fresh and can only be further improved. Worth following up.
