Subtle Time and Elegant Elle will press forward in a keen battle for the lead. SUBTLE TIME (4) was a beaten favourite at Waverley 2 weeks ago, and it was reported that he may be looking for more ground. He stays at 1200m, and hopefully, a better surface can bring the best out of this talented gelding, who has yet to show his true worth. Stick with him one more time. RIOMOSA (2) has been thereabouts this season on heavy tracks, and has been freshened up since a last start fourth in a 6-horse field at Otaki just over 8 weeks ago. He cops a wide gate, but is still worth including in all combinations. WAFT (6) has the ability, but has a few tricks as well. If she puts it all together, then she can figure in the top 3 here. PORT CHALMER (1) ran on nicely late to finish third fresh up at Waverley 2 weeks ago. He will improve with the run, and now that he is stronger, he can go on with the job. PEPPERONI (12) is a 6-year-old mare having her second career start fresh up for the season. She would not be persevered with if she didn't have some ability. Include. SUGGESTED PLAY: Subtle Time should be the one to beat in a poor field.
