Only a small field with It's Marlin likely to find a comfortable lead. INDIE ARDIE (6) finished third fresh up at Wingatui on a heavy track just over a fortnight ago, and was third here at her last run before a spell. She strips fitter, and in a small, modest field over a mile, she should be the one to beat. POLLY'S GURU (1) is a lightly tried 6-year-old gelding who ran a much better race for second at Ascot Park a month ago. He was tried in front for the first time on that occasion, and from a good gate, he can take them all the way. SPARKY (2) finished fourth fresh up in the same race as the second pick, peaking on his run late. He will improve quickly and should pick up his first win at short notice. AYE YOU (3) is edging closer to his first top 3 finish, and after 3 fourth-place finishes on the bounce, he is worth including in all combinations. IT'S MARLIN (5) strips fitter second up from a spell and will be suited by the step up from 1200m to a mile. Don't risk him. SUGGESTED PLAY: Indie Ardie to win for us.
