WINKLE KISEKI (4) recorded a strong maiden win over 1400m at this track last time, coming from a wide barrier to get home by 8 lengths. Shaping up nicely and draws lower so another bold showing is expected. MEISHO WAKATAKE (3) is back after a break of 16 months. Started the last campaign in good style when in the placings over 1400m at Sonoda. Lines up today for the first time for trainer Hisashi Matsushima. Looking for a good return. ROBERTA IMPACT (10) has been thereabouts since getting off the mark three runs back, the latest effort a second over 1400m at this track. Likely to be handy despite the tricky draw. One of the main contenders. NISHINO KIYOHA (7) produced a better run last start, beaten 2 lengths over 1400m at this track. The engagement of Ren Hasegawa is a positive move. Go well.
