A solid tempo on the cards with Bobbin Lady leading the way. DUX (6) finished runner-up by a short head on debut at Waverley over 1400m 2 weeks ago, and would have naturally improved since then. The extra furlong is no problem, and she can go on better here. VENTO D'ARGENTO (3) won the latest of 4 trials this year and has trekked some way from his home track for his debut. He has a good draw and is likely to attract a lot of attention in the market. BOBBIN LADY (7) has the experience edge over some of the more favoured runners, and she won't lack fitness. She is likely to race on the speed, and should be right there at the business end of this contest. LOOSE JEWELS (2) did nothing on debut, and then went back to the trials where he scored a very soft win. He has to be respected after a performance like that. Watch closely. SUGGESTED PLAY: Dux can take this out.
