CLARKSON (4) finished sixth two runs back at Vaal then improved last time out to score by 2 lengths after being in contention on the bend over 1600m at Turffontein Inside. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is capable of testing his rivals. SPY STORY (6) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 8 lengths when fifth in a 1600m contest at this track three weeks ago. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. VIVA DE JANEIRO (8) improved last start to finish second over 1600m at Turffontein Inside. Likely to hold the form and is a strong top-three prospect.
