Solid pace with Tennessee Whiskey finding the front but it won't be a picnic with a few other speedy types engaged.
Hard race to line up with two-mile experience scarce. TEWKESBURY (5) has had three runs in the Emma Fouchard stable since failing as a jumper for the McEvoys. Battled on evenly for a midfield finish in the Listed Queensland Cup over 2400m last start. Will keep grinding away and looks the best option. JUSTICE SERVED (1) put together three wins in a row in northern NSW before a couple of decent efforts in this region recently, the latest a fourth over 2206m at Eagle Farm. The 3kg claim is a big help. Bred to stay so looks a threat. THE CLAIMANT (6) has raced on the speed and kept whacking away at his last couple, finishing three lengths behind Giddy Gan's Joy over 2400m here last start. Looks like he'll stay all day. TENNESSEE WHISKEY (4) likes to bowl along in front and his last three results have been pleasing. Gets a few gear changes today which are interesting. JIMMY NAILS (8) is another who is racing well and makes his own luck up on the pace. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Tewkesbury.
