UNITED KINGDOM (12) jumped sharply in trip when defeating inferior opposition to score a long overdue victory over 1800m at Rosehill. J Mac rides again and kept up to the mark with a 1200m trial. Can go on with it now in this stronger contest. SUN GOD (2) returned with the one trial when he stalked the speed for a determined victory over 1600m at Warwick Farm in BM88 class. Looks ready to go on with the job now and will be even better placed over the 2000m. Fitted with a 1030m tick-over trial and Roper sticks. MAJORIAN (4) in career best form and looks up to this harder contest after scoring a tenacious win over 2200m at Warwick Farm. Will roll forward and give a ton of cheek. POWERS OF OPAL (3) hardly set the world alight in two runs back and gets a key jockey change out to the 2000m. Recent 1200m trial win suggests she may have turned the corner. HARLOW MIST (9) kept fresh after turning her form around quickly second-up. Trip suits with the claim and recent trial had merit. SUGGESTED PLAY: United Kingdom in a fairly open contest.
