LAI ON HANDICAP 1000m Track: GOOD
Cheval Valiant should lead at a strong tempo. DANCING CLASSICS (1) was very impressive at this track and trip on debut, taking the lead and running away on score as the $2.50 favourite. He maps for a similar run out wide and the debut effort suggested he's probably better than the grade he's racing in today. Can win again. MOON ROCKET (3) just missed fresh before sitting closer last start and getting the job done. He held off a late challenge there and he offset the inside barrier last start. Can go on with the job without surprising. LAHORE (5) swaps the winkers for the blinkers today and looked good in a recent trial under Purton, who sticks with him now. The wide draw is a big tick for his chances. Recent figures stack up well and he can be right there at the finish. CHEVAL VALIANT (4) draws better today and with the 4kg claim, he'll take plenty of catching from out in front.
