Meiner Ocean should lead and control the tempo. VICTOR VERUS (5) is a promising type who scored at his only run last prep four months ago over 2400m at this track. Lemaire has forged a strong bond with this colt and sticks. Looks the winner. ELAN (1) came from well back on cornering and hit the line strongly to score over 2000m at Nakayama last time out. Getting better with racings and is likely to feature. TEIDE (3) is back from a break of four-and-a-half months. Raced below par at his only appearance last prep when fourth over 1800m at Nakayama. Definite top-three chance. MEINER OCEAN (4) was beaten 2.75 lengths into fourth at the second run back from a break in a 2000m contest at Niigata three weeks ago. Yuji Tannai gets the best out of this four-year-old entire. Good each-way hope.
