Moderate tempo with Pearl Of Pang's leading the way and a few others keeping in touch. ETALON OR (4) got shuffled back at a crucial stage last start and couldn't fight back, finishing 4L off the winner after jumping the race favourite. This looks to suit him much better from a favourable draw today and in a race that appears to lack substance. Nice trial between runs and he can land the knockout blow this time. MATSU VICTOR (1) never got into the race last start and finished well back after some good efforts prior. His recent trial was very good around an in-form galloper and he can bounce back to his best today. HAPPY UNIVERSE (9) was inching closer to a victory before getting beaten 6L most recently at this track and trip. The wide draw this time is a niggle, however he's worth forgiving on one poor effort and his prior form stacks up well. Include. PING HAI COMET (13) was too good over 2200m last start and now drops back to the mile with Purton in the irons. Interesting set up but he's worth thought.
