Solid tempo with several going forward headed by Young Superstar. Great race to end the day. AHREN (10) won comfortably two back before a narrow defeat as an odds-on pop last time out at this track and trip. He's moved well in a recent trial since that effort and he has enough speed to be prominent in the run. Looks to have plenty of upside and can bounce back to winning ways. LITTLE PARADISE (8) bolted in last start in a strong performance over this track and distance, scoring by 1.8L and putting up some strong figures in the process. He rates highly as he rises in grade and he can sit a touch closer this time around from a better barrier. Ticks plenty of boxes and can win again. ROMANTIC SON (6) was only 1L off the winner last start in a good return to form at Happy Valley. Winkers go back on now and Purton hops in the saddle which is a strong push for his chances. Can be in the finish. LIFELINE EXPRESS (2) is better than he showed last start and can sit a touch closer this time. Can play a role in the finish.
