Moderate pace from Blazing Emerald taking it up with Classic Rogue and Ginger Green on her back. FUNCHAL (3) was good late in the race over 1400m first-up for Brad Parnham when only 2.1L off the winner. The rise in trip looks ideal for her and Pike hopping in the saddle is a positive sign. Returned in good order and looks ready to raise the bar now second-up. WEMBANYAMA (6) made it back-to-back wins last start when storming over the top to win as an odds-on pop. Up to 1800m for the first time, but it does look to suit him and the race looks to work out nicely for him. Can bring up the hat-trick. GINGER GREEN (1) steps up in trip for the first time after sitting close to the speed last time out and finishing 0.4L off the winner. The claim of ZJP comes in handy and he's not to be discounted. ODINAKA (4) is better than he showed last time out and a return to his best form can see him go close. ATLANTIS BEACH (10) can make his presence felt off the inside barrier. SUGGESTED PLAY: Funchal can return to winning ways.
