Scarlet Monarch to take up the running at a moderate tempo. SCARLET MONARCH (8) was below her best last time, finishing ninth and beaten 10 lengths over 1000m at Scone. Ideally placed today and quickly running out of chances. GETTIN' UP (2) has not raced since his debut on June 20 over 1205m at this track when he finished fifth, beaten 5 lengths. Will take a lot from that last run and is worth following up. CLUSTER'S GENERAL (1) resumes having produced some nice efforts late in the last campaign. Two-time placegetter here so looking for a good return. RECLUSE (3) may improve start start number two. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 8,2,3.
