Ground Control and Gazz possess good early speed and will set a genuine tempo. Another small field but this looks like one of the races of the day with several smart types resuming. Leaning towards the race fitness and winning form of Victorian visitor GRINZINGER CHAMP (7), who got the cash at Kilmore last start. This is harder, but she's drawn well, has tactical speed and carries no weight after the claim. She can roll forward and take some catching. GOLDEN HORIZON (1) has never missed the top two in four career starts. He's drawn low and maps to camp just behind the speed. He can win again if he gets some luck. GROUND CONTROL (2) bolted in to win his only start as a 2YO. He returns here after a couple of Victorian jumpouts. Suspect he might be above average so he must be included as a winning chance. SMASHING LAD (5) is worth including, while MOSTLY FOR SHOW (4) might be able to run a cheeky race fresh. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Grinzinger Champ to win.
