Without a noted leader engaged G T Darling may cross and take it up. BEST ME EVER (7) was well fancied when resuming last start over 2000m at Niigata when second, beaten 5 lengths, after leading for the judge. Has found the frame at all six visits to this track, including a win. Should be in the finish. MAGLIA IRIDATA (8) is a progressive three-year-old filly who hasn't raced since finishing third over 1800m at Fukushima on July 13 which was the only run of that prep. Goes well when fresh including a win and two minor placings. Best form puts her right in this. TSUNESAN (2) hasn't made an impression lately despite market confidence. Last start could only manage seventh over 1600m at Chukyo. Given a nine-week let-up so might be worth including. G T DARLING (14) returns from a spell of seven months and did win first-up last time in work over 2400m at Hanshin. One of the genuine hopes in the race.
