Plenty of pace from Mikki Stardom, Vip Dylan and Olibanum vying for the lead, with a few others keeping them honest. EDEL WEG (10) is a promising type who finished in the placings over 1600m at Chukyo at her last appearance on August 9 which was the only run of that campaign. Yuichi Kitamura won on her here in May and is back aboard. Sure to play a big role. SHAYKH (11) stalked the pace when resuming at this track and trip last start then worked to the line steadily to finish third. Placed at his only try when second-up. Sure to be thereabouts. VIP DYLAN (9) returns from a layoff of 11 weeks. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last time in work over 1600m at Chukyo. Worth plenty of thought. OLIBANUM (15) finished seventh two runs back then did well last start but found one better over 1600m at Hanshin, beaten only 0.8 lengths. Likely improver so plenty to like about her chances.
