Turned in a respectable effort in the G3 Sekiya Kinen at Niigata over 1600m at his only run last prep, finishing seventh and beaten 2.5 lengths. Has a win and three minor placings at this journey from five starts and is expected to be in the finish. TROVATORE (15) is an honest campaigner who finished off last prep with a 12th over 1700m in the G3 Elm Stakes at Sapporo Dirt. Has a strong first-up record with three wins from five runs so he should feature in the finish. POULSEN (5) returns from a spell of 12 weeks. Was safely held at the only appearance last prep when 15th over 1800m in the G3 Leopard Stakes at Niigata Dirt. Drawn to stalk the leaders and is one to consider. KALAMATIANOS (7) finished 3.5 lengths behind the winner in tenth place when resuming over 1600m last start in the G3 Keisei Hai Autumn Handicap at Nakayama. Has a decent second-up record.
