Genuine tempo from Prometheus leading Bourbon Proof. MYAKKABELLE (7) looked likely on the turn before peaking late on her effort and finishing fifth fresh up at Ellerslie a fortnight ago. She usually improves with racing, and will start from a slightly better draw this time. Hard to beat. BOURBON PROOF (4) set the pace and, after giving a good kick last time out, he was claimed late, finishing sixth. He is likely to be ridden more quietly this time from a tougher gate and will be peaking third up from a spell. Stick with him on an each-way basis. EL VIENTO (6) has needed both of his runs back from a spell, and does have a few tricks in his pocket. Warren Kennedy will negate the wide draw, and if his mind is on the job, then he can win this. KING OF THE NORTH (3) ended his last prep with a big win over 2100m at Ellerslie in May. He resumes with a couple of trials under his belt, and he should be steaming home late. Include in all combinations. ACCIDENTAL TOURIST (1) has Opie Bosson replacing an apprentice, and a form reversal is likely. SUGGESTED PLAY: Bourbon Proof each way in another very even contest.
