Tricky one to map with a number of first starters but over this trip there is good speed anticipated. The babies kick us off. RAROTONGA (1) was in the betting when facing the starter for the first time and wasn't disgraced beaten less than two lengths into third over this track and trip. Will have derived a stack of benefit from that race day experience and can improve enough to take this out. VANZADEE (6) looked handy winning a recent trial at the Sunny Coast and gets the services of Thompson in the irons. Respect any push in betting. SCARTOON (5) placed in a recent trial and debuts here on her home circuit. Expected to measure up. LEAVES OF LORIEN (7) has race experience on her side and may earn some minor money. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Rarotonga.
