Tricky one to map with a number of first starters but over this trip there is good speed anticipated. Competitive race. MAJOR ARCANA (2) wound up strongly up the Vaal straight on debut and finished runner-up. Further improved and will be tough to hold out again. Likewise WITCH HAZEL (12) got home hard at Vaal on debut to place in what has been a hot form race. Leading rider goes aboard and looks a big danger. TINTIN (3) ran fourth on debut earlier this year, finishing close t the winner in a good form race. Sure to have improved by the break. SPLITTHEEIGHTS (10) is a well-related three-year-old colt lining up for the first time. By Vercingetorix from Massachusetts who has produced some fine gallopers, including Grade 1 winner William Robertson. Comes from a stable which has an impressive strike rate with the first-starters.
