Plenty of speed runners engaged, with Private Jumbo, Notabadbuy and Pittsburgh Pirate prominent. FARNBOROUGH (14) has improved since coming to the Freedman yard, formerly with Bjorn Baker in Sydney after coming from Ireland. He was big odds but won well first up, backing it up with a strong effort behind Outta Compton at Sandown Lakeside last time. Stays at 1600m again which is possibly the query but does drop a grade and rates well. SIR ATLAS (15) was a bit disappointing with the race shape against here second up but was good on resumption and his best form is strong. He could possibly settle a touch closer from the draw here and will be hard to hold out if so. FALCON OF MALTA (2) was just fair fresh but can improve quickly while PRIVATE JUMBO (17) is ready to fire third up with each-way claims. SUGGESTED PLAY: Farnborough to win.
