Reasonable tempo with a few going forward, headed by Couldhavebeen. Tough. BAY STREET (7) settled too far back off a wide barrier at Northam but was narrowly beaten at Scarpside prior, stepping up to this distance range. 28% stable striker CJP is reunited, and he's won on the galloper. Comes back in grade and his form generally reads well in this line-up. WHY ME (2) raced favourite in a CL3 at Bunbury over 1800m and got the chocolates. He's on a quick back-up, and should manage the longer journey. He maps well, and the 2kg claim brings him into it. ILGIRO DELMONDO (10) wasn't beaten far in a strong form race at Belmont over 2200m, before being spelled. She was quickly back on track second-up, beaten 1.4L at Northam over a mile. She has more to give and can't be ruled out. SKETTA (9) has a 3kg claim and handy barrier and is worth a look at a price. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Bay Street.
