Anticipating a good amount of early pressure with many of these youngsters facing the starter for the first time. TULIP FIELDS (12) produced a promising debut effort over 1400m on the polytrack last start. She was awkwardly placed leaving the start and the saddle was reported to have slipped. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. Gavin Lerena is booked to ride and with the natural improvement that is expected, she should be the one to beat. BELLIGERENT (13) showed some improvement when fourth over 1200m at Greyville last time. She is a progressive type and if jumping on level terms with her rivals she should have more to come. WINTER BLESSING (3) was not disgraced when third of 12 over 1400m at Greyville last time. Rachel Venniker takes the 1.5kgs off her back and she should finish in the placings. LOVE THE USA (1) finished out of the money on debut two starts back then finished fourth over 1400m contest at Greyville last time out. Looks well placed so expecting a big run this time.
