Expecting a strong tempo over this journey. HAKUSHU (1) set the pace and was far too strong here 5 weeks ago when scoring by over 6 lengths. He won't find this much harder, and is poised to repeat the dose. PINKY PIE (9) tried hard as favourite here nearly 2 weeks ago when finishing third, over this trip. She has the aid of a 3kg claim this time, and is overdue to break through for her first win. TOP DOLLAR (5) won a trial before a modest effort as an odds-on favourite at Ruakaka 25 days ago on a track that was heavier than he liked. He strips fitter and can make amends. Follow your money. BALLBEENA (10) was there to challenge at Arawa Park 3 weeks ago and just battled late on the heavy ground. She is better than that and is worth another chance. KARYON (7) was a narrow maiden winner 2 starts back and then only battled in a tougher field here 5 weeks ago. She has a good draw and can rebound into the money here. SUGGESTED PLAY: Hakushu should win again.
