Exceed Perfection to take charge ahead of Metaphorically at a good tempo. METAPHORICALLY (1) missed out narrowly first-up over this course and distance. Showed pace last start at the Kensington track but was eased out of the contest and subsequently was found to be lame. Trialled will since and can bounce to form. EXCEED PERFECTION (11) returned from an eleven-month lay-off with an encouraging effort at Gosford, making late ground to finish second at the end of 1100m. Gets in very well after Roper's claim and the longer trip suits. Big chance to go one better. LA ROJA (6) is back from a nineteen-week spell. Opened last prep with a barnstorming win over 1100m at Warwick Farm. Went close in a recent Hawkesbury trial so a bright return looks on the cards. THE REPLICANT (10) finds it hard to win but managed an amazing twenty-second minor placing here at his latest run. A must for exotics punters. PRETTY POWERFUL (2) can improve on a plain first-up effort. SUGGESTED PLAY: Metaphorically to win.
