Opaea Joe to take charge ahead of Trouvaille at a good tempo. JURISPRUDENCE (1) won as expected at Ellerslie by a head in his penultimate start, and then failed to fire at Te Rapa nearly 6 weeks ago on a very testing track. He slides back down in class here, and with the aid of a 4kg claim, he is worth another chance. TROUVAILLE (9) needed his fresh-up run at Te Aroha a month ago and did win his only start second up in the past. He has the pole position and can't be ruled out of a top 3 finish here. KASUKEDO (2) is a progressive gelding who will be peaking third up from a spell. He drops in class, and with Michael McNab stepping into the irons, he is ready to put his best hoof forward. BONIFLEUR (3) caught the eye with a solid finish here 7 weeks ago and has been given plenty of time to get over that run. This is easier, and she can figure in the top 3 here. Each-way value. CHEAP SAV (5) ran on late last time out, and is more than capable of taking this out. BOXMOSS (6) will be peaking third up from a spell, so include in all combinations. SUGGESTED PLAY: Kasukedo would not be a shock winner here.
