Tricky one to map with a number of debutants but over this trip there is good speed anticipated. Leaning towards the horses with race experience here. There was a lot to like about the debut run of CAPTAIN HAPPY (1), who showed speed and stuck on gamely. Stays at 900m and will take natural improvement from his first outing. He can go one better here. LAWS WARS (2) finished a distant third on debut but the quinella might be pretty handy. He comes back in trip and will be better for having had the run. He looks a danger. ELEGANT LILLY (9) was doing her best work late from the back on debut and is open to further improvement. KALMANA (5) and ASHREIGN (3) are both first-up, having tackled the SA Magic Millions Classic on debut earlier in the year. Both have trialed well enough to suggest they can do a bit more this time in. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Captain Happy to win.
