Speed Rich is the probable leader in the small field. JUN TSUBAMEGAESHI (6) returns after a spell of four months. Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 2200m at Chukyo. Sure to make his presence felt. SPEED RICH (7) was comfortably accounted for when third last time out over 2400m at Hanshin, beaten 4 lengths. That followed a win at Hanshin at the previous outing. Faces an easier assignment so he will prove hard to beat. CAFE GRANDE (2) missed the placings when resuming two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 2500m at Nakayama, beaten only 1.5 lengths. Beautifully placed and is sure to play a major role. DRAKE PASSAGE (1) was out of the money when resuming from a spell last start over 2500m at Nakayama, beaten 9 lengths. Fitter so watch for a better performance.
