KUSS KUSS (4) doesn't win out of turn but was in the finish last time when beaten half a length into second over 1600m at Chukyo. Likely to be fighting out the finish. DAWN CHORUS (8) is back from a spell. Closed last prep in sparkling form with three consecutive wins, the latest over 1400m at Himeji on February 12. A bold showing is expected. FOCAL FLOWER (5) was in the firing line on the bend and finished second last start at the first run back from a spell over 1800m at Fukushima, beaten 2.5 lengths. This doesn't look as hard so she is one of the primary contenders. IMPERIAL COURT (6) has been out of the winner's list for a long time, last start finishing 15th at Chukyo over 1400m. Placed to advantage so expect a bold run.
